Happy Kernels Gourmet Popcorn and Fudge - Boise, ID

To shoot this Business/Lifestyle/Rollout session for this new specialty popcorn & fudge store here in Boise, ID, I spent the day with owners Tina & Gil Alzaga really just having a blast. Taste testing 50 different kinds of popcorn, arranging various colorful gift bags and candy boxes, climbing up and down ladders, having great conversations with incoming customers, and really just having genuine laughs as we exchanged stories and set up for different shots throughout the day.

The Alzagas have made the Treasure Valley their home for the past 10 years. Gilbert recently retired as a Union Ironworker who traveled all over the United States building large scale buildings, and Tina is also a Realtor here in Boise. They had the idea to open a specialty popcorn shop and finally brought it to fruition and it couldn't be more of a welcoming, cheerful and delicious spot.

There are over 50 Happy Kernels popcorn flavors, including movie theatre regular, French Toast, Salt & Vinegar, Dill Pickle, Toffee Almond, White Chocolate Pretzel, Oreo, Jalapeno Ranch, Cotton Candy, Banana Cream, Strawberry Cheesecake, Green Apple and more. Did I stuff my face with all of these over the course of 4 hours as I product shot?! YES. YES I DID haha.

Happy Kernels offers the cutest gift baskets, sports buckets and holiday tins if you are looking for something salty sweet or festive to gift someone or just for yourself. The Alzagas were so jovial and followed my direction so well over the course of the day, it was truly enjoyable and I am just humbled they chose me to document their new business. Gil & Tina are excited starting their second journey in life and to be immersed in their community; Creating happiness & sharing joyful experiences through their popcorn creations, one kernel at a time.
